Dirty 1/2 Dozen Largess Donation Derby
There will be a Dirty 1/2 Dozen Largess Donation Derby in order to help bring the artisans of Trimaris together and create lovely items for Their Majesties to share with other Kingdoms and people of the populace.
Each competitor should donate 7 individual items that are suitable for Largess. These can be 7 of all the same item, or 7 items on a common theme. More than 7 items will of COURSE be welcome, though more than 7 items will not get ‘extra points’. (6 would be a half-dozen… 7 is what makes it ‘dirty’…)
More than one entry per person is also very welcome.
All items in each entry must be tagged with the makers name, and ready to be gifted the day of the competition.
Items do not need to be documentable, just SCA relevant.
Items should not have any heraldry on them (as they are meant to be given to other areas and general gifts).
Judging is done by the populace. Each entry display will have a cup placed next to it and anyone may put a provided token into the accompanying cup to denote their choice.
The entry with the most tokens in their cup at the end of the day is the winner. The entrant then get to choose one item from each of the other entries as a prize. From there, each entry, starting with the next most token and going down from larget to smallest numer, then chooses one item from any entry until everyone has had a chance to choose a prize.
After the Derby, all remaining items will be given to Their Majesties to be used as largess during Their Reign.
Examples of 7 items suitable for a specific time period:
7 needle books
7 Mugs
7 hats from different (or the same) period(s)
7 children’s toys
7 rings
7 pairs of socks
7 home-baked breads
